At the heart of Ilona’s Collab Studio stands Ilona: a dedicated hair artist whose passion for painting ignites her creative approach to colour transformations. Originally from Latvia, Ilona trained and worked in London, honing her craft over 15 years in high-end hairdressing. She trained in cutting and styling in London and also trained with the renowned Michael Van Clarke salon and became a Senior Colour Technician through the prestigious Mahogany Training Academy. Further refining her expertise, she completed a Master Colour training course at the Goldwell Academy, solidifying her role as a resident colour specialist.

For Ilona, hair is a dynamic canvas – one that invites bold experiments, celebrates individuality, and reflects her painter’s eye for colour. Her love of painting naturally evolved into a passion for freehand balayage and transformative colour, leading her to master advanced techniques, including Colour Math, a deep dive into the science of colour, leading Ilona to become a Certified Balayage Master. With additional training in makeup artistry from the London College of Fashion, she brings a well-rounded artistic vision to every client.
